On October 21, 2004, the Florida Board of Governors granted implementation authority to the University of South Florida College of Medicine to convert the current entry-level Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree to the professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree commencing with the class entering Fall Semester 2005.
